Common Questions About Body Contouring

Is body contouring a weight loss treatment?

No. These treatments remodel and tone tissue in targeted areas; they are not a substitute for weight loss. Many patients combine contouring with our medical weight loss program so that overall body composition and specific problem areas are both addressed.

Does it hurt?

Treatments are designed to be comfortable. You will feel warmth as the tissue heats, and with Tone you will feel muscle contractions. Built-in audible indicators and a patient call button let you pause the treatment so adjustments can be made if needed.

How many sessions will I need?

Most patients complete a series of treatments spaced over several weeks. The exact number depends on the area treated and your goals — we will map out a plan at your consultation.

When will I see results?

Because these treatments work by stimulating your own tissue to remodel, results develop gradually over the weeks following treatment and continue to build across a series.

Is there any downtime?

These are zero-downtime procedures. Most patients return to normal daily activities right after a session.
