PRP facial treatment

Enhance the Quality of Your Skin

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facials are sometimes called "blood facials," but don't let the name scare you away. PRP therapy uses your own blood to enhance the quality of your skin and increase collagen production.

The treatment begins with a blood draw to collect platelet-rich plasma containing growth factors that help stimulate cell turnover. The needle prick will be the only painful part of the procedure. This is followed by microneedling or microdermabrasion, which has the dual benefit of stimulating collagen renewal and allowing the PRP to absorb into your skin. We apply a local anesthetic to ensure the process is pain-free.

Your treatment will last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Benefits

Uses Your Own Biology

PRP is drawn from your own blood, so the growth factors doing the work are your own.

Boosts Collagen

Growth factors stimulate cell turnover and collagen renewal, improving firmness over time.

Paired With Microneedling

Microneedling or microdermabrasion both stimulates renewal and lets the PRP absorb into the skin.

Comfortable Procedure

A local anesthetic is applied so the process is pain-free — the blood draw is the only sharp part.

Long-Lasting Results

Results can last for years after treatment, though a series is recommended for optimal outcome.

Minimal Downtime

You can resume normal activities immediately, with a day or two of mild redness.

Common Questions About PRP Facials

What happens during treatment?

The treatment begins with venipuncture — a blood draw — to collect platelet-rich plasma that contains growth factors and helps stimulate cell turnover. The needle prick will be the only painful part of the procedure. This is followed by microneedling or microdermabrasion, which stimulates collagen renewal and allows the PRP to absorb into your skin. We apply a local anesthetic to ensure the process is pain-free. Treatment lasts between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the area.

Is there downtime?

You can resume normal activities immediately after your treatment. For one to two days you will experience redness and feel like you have sunburn. We encourage you to use sunscreen and avoid wearing makeup after your treatment.

When will I see results?

You should start to see results within a week or two after your treatment, and improvements will continue to develop. Within one or two months you will notice rejuvenated, younger-looking skin with improved tone. Your results can last for years after your treatment.

Will I need multiple treatments?

Your PRP treatment is not permanent, but it does offer long-lasting effects. Multiple treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results.
